CSSVD Treatment

As a service provider to the Cocoa Health and Extension Division (CHED) of Cocobod to cut and treat cocoa swollen shoot viral disease infected cocoa farms in the Western North Region of Ghana. To date, we have planted 704,000 cocoa seedlings and plantain suckers. The plantain suckers we support the farmers to plant ensure that they have food security and income during the gestation period of the young cocoa farm.

FPIP

Farm Productivity Improvement Program (FPIP) is a flagship program by Embett Agro to support smallholder farmers in maize, rice, millet, and soybean production in Northern Ghana. The program aims to improve yields and provide reliable access to markets. The key objective of the program is to enable smallholder farmers to have:

Access to farm mechanization services and agro inputs to improve productivity.

Access to credit, market, and financial inclusion interventions.

Secure supply chains in grains and cereals value chain for the business.

Improve disposable incomes of smallholder farmers and thereby accelerate rural prosperity.

The program also focuses on empowering women and young farmers to take up organic farming as a business. We deliberately ensure women and young farmers form at least 60% of our farmer base. These farmers are provided with pieces of training in the gap, gender, social, and environmental sustainability, and alternative livelihoods. The farmers are also trained on financial inclusion initiatives, emphasizing, and facilitating the formation and operationalization of VSLAs with linkages to Fintech, MFI, and Banking services.
